Ask for an interpreter

You need an interpreter so you can understand and be understood.

What you can say

I need an interpreter, please.

I want to understand everything we talk about.

Please book an interpreter for my next meeting.

I will wait until the interpreter is here.

If that does not work

  1. Ask for the request in writing so it is on record.
  2. Ask who is responsible for booking interpreters.
  3. Contact an advocate if your request is refused.
